Old Age Security (OAS)
The Old Age Security (OAS) pension is a monthly payment available to most Canadians 65 years of age who meet the Canadian legal status and residence requirements. You must apply to receive it. For more information, visit Service Canada’s OAS website.

Guaranteed Income Supplement (GIS)
If you are eligible to receive the Old Age Security pension and you have little or no other income, you may qualify to receive the Guaranteed Income Supplement.
